We visited Kuala Sepetang the charcoal factory and fishing village very interesting. Went to the museum, Zoo, and coffee making factory picnic bike and boat ride on the lake.

A place to run away from city busy life,this is also a place you must stay in to feel the morning chill in Taiping lake.

Taiping is a small town thats been left behind and its great. Spend two night there and walk around the old town and also the park! Leave all you city madness behind once you're off the North South highway! Hawker food galore at Larut Matang.

A great town for relaxing from a busy schedule everyday. There are a lot of local foods that are famous in this area.

For traveling around at Taiping, best to have a car to travel about. And there is a lot of local good food.

You can visit the Night Safari and Maxwell Hill while staying in Taiping. Not so much thought on food, normal kind of food can be find anywhere.

it will be a very relaxing trip to visit the lake gardens and there is a small museum you can visit. they also have old buildings which make good photography.

Places not to be missed are Taiping Zoo & Night Safari and Taiping Lake & Garden. You must try the cendol and some local street food here as well.

Is a small town in the north side of Perak. With a lot of local street food and is value for money. You can visit maxwell hills , and you are driving , around 10 km from taiping town, kuala sepetang is place to spend some time, for sea food and the mangrove visitor centre.

There's few interesting places to be visited but it is more on cultural type of places. I've seen only 1 shopping mall so far so it is not the best place for shopping.
