"It’s an older facility, so that applies to the furniture, rugs, and common areas as things are worn. It’s not a honeymoon hotel, or upscale. But it is a great value and well located with immediate access to the freeway system, airport, and beach communities. It has a nice pools, tiny convenience store, and restaurant on site. It’s not a walking area, but by car, you are very close to endless restaurants, shopping centers, beach communities, and so much more. I personally like to use Yelp to find new restaurants, related comforts, and venues. It’s not a five star hotel, nor a dive, but appropriately rated 2.5 to a 3 star hotel, and at a location that makes it very convenient providing that you have your own transportation. This isn’t a resort setting with pool service and beach access, so avoid making the mistake of expecting this to be something other than a decent hotel with minimal amenities. "

"Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, it is a convenient location. The rooms re small, older, and non very well maintained. Floors were cracked, chipping paint, etc. The air conditioner was very noisy and I kept waking up from the noise, even though my earplugs. I would have expected more from the price. Employees were very gracious and willing to help."

"Much safe than downtown! We stay here almost a week. We are two Asian girls. Always coming back late around midnight. We are busy sightseeing in LA. 4min walk to hotel from metro. we don't have car. even we walk late night for buy food which 20min walk away from hotel. So calm and no dangerous ppl. When we stayed in downtown area felt so dangerous. Drunken people every block and smoking marijuanas the smell disgusting. They always everyday daytime or nighttime doesn't matter!!come to us and ask money and follow us .disgusting smell terrible. We were never stay in downtown area. The area of this hotel safe and I think this area of Mexican. Some of they don't speak English but they are friendly. Housekeeper clean the room everyday and friendly staff. "

"The social room on the 1st floor is awesome, it feels like a bar atmosphere and I thought it was one at first where you order drinks etc.. That said, I don't think can justify paying over $50 a night for a dorm bed in a hostel, but maybe that's just because it is Los Angeles. Pricey spot."
