Maastricht hotels & places to stay

Perfect Hotel for shopping, going or eating out in the city of Maastricht. The matresses were not so good and in winter in can get cold in the rooms because there is only electric heating. The stairs up to the rooms are very steep ! In the ground-floor is a sheesha-bar , nice smell for those who like it . The rooms are very okay, not more to expect for the price you paid, as i said, pric/location is very good ! I can recommand this hotel

Quick check-in process. The basic room was quiet but relatively small. When my husband and I opened our luggage, we almost have no room to walk. Although we were facing the train station, we did not hear any noise. 10-mins walk to the city center. If you have large luggage with you, I'd recommend you to stay in this hotel or other hotels near the train station. Not convenient to walk so long to the city center with luggage because there is no metro/tram in Maastricht.

I really enjoyed the experience of staying at Hotel Kaboom, the staff were exceptionally friendly, informative and helpful on check in and when I needed help with my suitcase lock. The hotel room was clean, beautifully decorated and had nice features and incredibly good value considering the price and the location which is directly opposite Maastricht station (yet, still quiet). The only slight downsides I had were a slight layer of dust on the centre light fitting and no rubber seal between the glass door of the shower and the ceramic shower tray, which caused water to collect on the bathroom floor, even with careful showering. Despite all this, I would definitely stay again on my return to Maastricht.

It was our first time in Maastricht, and we did not know what to expect, but hotel Mabi made us feel at home. It is too bad we only stayed one night because I truly enjoyed the facilities and the perks of being a guest there. They know how to take care of people there! As an Asian person, I am not fully crazy about their breakfast, but it was okay. I highly recommend for you to stay here because it is in a great location, the amenities and rooms are amazing, and I just really loved my stay here. I hope there would be more hotels like this throughout the Netherlands... throughout Europe!

It was somewhere in the mid 60's that I did some holiday work at 'Vaeshartelt'. In those days my older brother was the head chef. Then it was a holiday destination for young people who would arrive from all over the country by booked tours. I have great memories of these times! What a great job they have done in recent times to change this to the the fantastic hotel it is now. It is always a big task to add newer features to such an old building as 'Vaeshartelt' is. However in my opinion they excelled in this transformation. The mix of the old and new is just stunning. Whilst the bedrooms are a bit small, they are nicely decorated and it is nice to see greet art works on display. That is the case throughout the entire complex and it is really a great treat to walk around and check out the different areas and admire the art. We stayed two nights and were a party of four. The first evening we dined in the restaurant and all of us were really impressed with the fantastic dinner served to us. We opted for the 4-course dinner and it turned out to be a memorable meal. Both mornings we had breakfast and this too was in all aspects a great start of the day. The variety on display was amazing. The service was outstanding! Both evenings we had drinks in the bar and we liked the decor. Again, a good selection of drinks and again he service was fantastic. We walked in the grounds and it was nice to do the recommended walks. It is so great to write such a fantastic review of a quality hotel. I have learnt that there are plans to convert some office space in the main building into hotel rooms as well. Highly recommended. We were very happy and hope that our review will encourage other travelers to consider 'Vasehartelt' as a great option to stay whilst in this area.

I stayed here for close to two weeks, so I speak from experience when i say that this is a very well-run hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet tailored to the healthy guest. It is close to a small train station and plenty of bus stops, but we rented a car and drove in and out. The parking garage is an additional 12 Euros charge, but you can park outside on the quiet roads if you want. It is right off the highway and we walked downtown (a solid 30-40 minutes) numerous times. I highly recommend it and if I came back to Maastricht, I would stay here again, for sure!

What a fabulous hotel. The price is not as expensive as other hotels in Maastricht but the quality of the hotel is fantastic. There is free wifi in all rooms and it works perfect. The hotel reception staff are wonderful and just helpful and kind. The reception area is a luxury to stay in - comfy with lots of chairs, free wifi, free soup, and free croissants for guests! It was really an amazing stay and at a great price. The room was sizeable enough - quite big actually - the bathroom/shower was flawless and beautiful. The bed was incredible - king sized, super comfortable and super high quality - so were the sheets and pillows. Finally there was a crib/kot for toddlers up to age 3 I think! Where else can you find that automatically provided in a room? Just wonderful!

We were there for the winter fair and for a visit with a friend. Location wise it was perfect: my four year old son got to ice skate outdoors and go on all the fair rides. We had a delightful visit and great dinner with a friend at one of the many great Maastricht restaurants. We had a comfort room at the Residence across the street and the room was clean, modern but sparsely furnished. Shower only. Everything was however adequate for our needs. The location was perfect and I wished I had a bit more time for shopping since there were some nice shopping streets. In room wifi was slow and kept dropping signals but we were on holiday. The free minibar was a nice touch, and we loved the yummy breakfast. This was our first night in Maastricht but our second time at the winter fair.

Before we arrived we got useful information about local restaurants by email. Also we had arranged a pick up beforehand from the train station which all worked out well. Friendly welcome and drink. Room was clean and OK size overlooking the garden. Bathroom was well laid out with separate toilet. Room was very quiet and we did not hear any other guests. Breakfast spread was generous and tasty. There was an honesty bar which we did not use but prices seemed reasonable. It would be nice in the breakfast room if they removed a table and replaced it with a small sofa as there was nowhere to sit and relax in your room and it would make a good place to enjoy a drink from the honesty bar! I would recommend this place if you enjoy a break from hotels and stay again.
