Vienna hotels & accommodations

Had a fabulous stay in Vienna. Superb accommodations, super clean and modern, brilliant location, just steps from all the metro and tram lines. The staff was incredibly helpful in anything we needed, recommending restaurants and making sightseeing plans. The complimentary water and beer, and even occasional pastry was a wonderful bonus. This is a superior hotel, we wer...

Novum Hotel chain always maintains a good standard clean comfortable room with knowlegdeable & friendly staff If I can open the window in summer I’m happy as AC is non standard across all Vienna hotels within this budget price. - you can always ask for a fan on very hot nights

With Vienna hotels booked at 85% full, I was scrambling to find a hotel for our December stay. The Hotel Schani staff are great, very helpful and the hotel is close to a tram that takes you downtown. Public transport is the way to travel - train station is also close by. Easy check in and check out.

This is an excellent hotel that is about 15 mins slow walk away from Hofburg Palace and the center of all things in Vienna. Designed from an earlier era, the hotel feels fit for a romantic (but not posh) movie setting in the 1950s. Well maintained and staffed by an excellent team, the service is polite and prompt. The rooms are huge (by EU standards) and spacious, with...

We stayed at Flemmings during our visit to the Christmas Markets in Vienna. The hotel was in a perfect location, walking distance to all of the 7 markets we visited. The room was very spacious with an extremely comfortable bed. All in all very happy with this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Kaiserhif Wien was the best hotel out of 6 hotels stay in Czech and Austria. I stayed 4~5 star hotels during my travel but I don't understand why this hotel is 4 star. Room was very wide, facility was good, breakfast was fresh and plenty. Especially reception lady(should ask her name) welcomed with big smile and said good-bye gently. But only 1 lady answered phone m...

My child and I enjoyed our weekend holiday at Hilton Hotel Vienna at Stadtpark a great deal. The location is superb, direct from airport s-bahn train or CAT Landstrasse. And just less than 2 minutes walk to U-bahn underground where you could reached the city centre; Stephansplatz and Mariahilderstrasse in just less than 15 minutes. The hotel is located next to the Stad...

It is all about location and comfort ... Just in the heart of mariahilfer strasse where you can enjoy a variety of restaurants and shops there .. The metro station is only 3 minutes walking from the hotel which can take you to most of Vienna attractions. The rooms are spacious and newly renovated and just underneath the hotel there is a carage park where you can leave ...

Highly recommended if you know the U-Bahn. As the location is just slightly outside the city centre, you need transportation. But it is convenience as the U-Bahn takes you to the city quickly. The service is ok as staff tries their best to help, if they are not sure about your enquiry, they would find somebody who can help. The room is not too big but he view faces the...

There was a mix up at first upon checking in because I had booked this hotel and cancelled it once when I found a better rate through Agoda. They couldn't find my subsequent booking but it all got sorted out later. The staff was quite nice about it. Other than that, we couldn't have been happier with the hotel. The location was great - right beside Karntner Stra...

Hotel is really near the metro station so it's very good reachable from the city center. Room was large and simply furnished but it was nice and modern. Beside other usual facilities was in the room also Nespresso machine. Bathroom was also large and nice and without any doubt clean. Reception desk staff was helpful but a little bit unpleasant and a hotel surroundings ...

The place was rather new and everything was clean. There were an ample amount of restrooms and showers too. The kitchen was very nice as well. WiFi worked well and was fast! Power outlets were a bit too few (only two for a 4 person room). The room was also small and a little squeezy. The lighting inside the room was also too dim and dark. At night the surrounding ar...

The staff at Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom Hotel were very welcoming, helpful, efficient and attentive to customers' needs. Dining at the restaurant on the highest level (Le Loft) was memorable; there's such a panoramic view of the area. Food and service were great too. The bed was truly very comfortable such that it was difficult getting out of bed each morning. The onl...

Hotel Geblergasse provides a comfortable stay for your trip to Vienna. It is near a metro station which can easily and quickly get you anywhere in Vienna. The room was a bit small, but was more than suitable for our 2 nights there. The price is great!

We spent Christmas at this hotel together with our three kids, it was great, with pleasant large rooms in which you can find all you needed, the beds were comfortable and the service was nice. Wireless nternet access was free but not available inside the rooms , so the kids had to go down the lobby to log on. But, when we booked online through the Agoda site it wasn'...

I recently stayed there for 3 nights. The Ring hotel was perfectly situated for exploring Old Vienna. It was walking distance to all the sites. The hotel itself was nice and comfortable and the front desk staff was very friendly. The only complaint I had was the room was not cleaned the one day. Maybe it was due to it being Ascension day, but the housekeeping also did...

Possibly one of the best hotel we have stayed during our deviation portion of our honeymoon trip. The hotel is very close to the Vien West HbF, hence it is very easy to get around the whole of Vienna. It is also close to the food joints, and if you arrive late at night, there is a restaurant at the corner which serves food till late at night. There's even a McDonalds ar...

It was a cold and snowy week but the hotel was a lovely welcoming and warming retreat after lots of walking across the beautiful city of Vienna. Breakfast was delicious, a different fruit smoothie and egg dish every day. Help yourself to tea, beer and a meatloaf roll in the afternoon reminded me of the wonderful ‘Happy Hour’ in Tel Aviv. I dropped one star just becau...

Hotel staff are very helpful and nice - helped with day trip booking, arranging for pick up from the hotel, lend me some super glue when my shoe sole was peeling, always ready to provide directions around Vienna. Hotel is situated like 10 mins on foot to the Opera House. Hotel room and furniture is abit old but acceptable. So thankful that the hotel has a lift and ...

this is by far one of the best hotel I've stayed in Austria. Its a budget hotel but I can assure you a tip top cleanliness in the HOTEL rooms(I didn't stay in the hostel). we booked a family room and just love how clean and dust free the rooms are. nice smelling soaps and also new furniture. it is way better that A&O in Frankfurt. All the staffs are friendly, young and...

We are only sleep here and spend all the day out in the city. This hostel is good for sleeping, but the rooms are small, than for longer stay than 1 or 2 nights, it is not so ideal. The bathroom is clean, only the shower is not so cleaned, and you need to bring towels. Do not forget it! The staff was friendly, the lady speaks Hungarian, if she knows you are Hungarian,...

Exceptional staff, very helpful, you can ask the for any suggestion you need for places to visit. Room request was handled very well(bed sheet was included in the price by the way). The location is good, you get a small shopping center where you can find several fast-food restaurants, two supermarkets, some shops etc. Underground station is 4 minutes walking, you can g...

I came to vienna by myself, therefore just needed a place to sleep, with no further needs. Still, the place is clean, staff are very nice, very helpful, and makes you feel like 5 stars hotel. Also, it is all the other small things- a very nice pub, simple but good breakfast- both in very low prices if compared to the city, washing machines in the basement, hangout pla...

It is close to Westbahnhof train station.Supermarkets around there.Room was clean. It is good that it is not a bunk bed like other dorms. It helped that there was a refrigerator in the room. Also,a kitchen on the 1st floor in case you need to cook or warm things.Staff at the reception too are friendly and courteous.Would recommend this to others as well.Overall, good value...

Hotel Geblergasse provides a comfortable stay for your trip to Vienna. It is near a metro station which can easily and quickly get you anywhere in Vienna. The room was a bit small, but was more than suitable for our 2 nights there. The price is great!

For the price this property is very good value and the location is excellent. Room was comfortable and reasonably spacious and we had a nice view of the main street. Staff were rather indifferent to our presence and even a slight smile might boost their service level. Would stay here again if back in Vienna.

This hotel is lovely and walking distance to the nearest underground station. There are supermarkets near the hotel and it is also within walking distance to the centre of Vienna. It is a wonderful hotel. The only drawback is that the lights have a set switch off timer and they go off after a certain period. This causes inconvenience when using the shower. Other than ...

Vienna metro is good. If you do not care whether it takes you 5 or 15 minutes to get to the places you need, you should not doubt picking this hotel. When you arrive to the final stop Ottakring on U3, keep the direction the train was going, go downstairs, turn over your left shoulder and you'll see the Huttengasse sign. Out of the door go right and in a few meters you ...

the paying system was kinda complicated but they served good enough breakfast. you can easily get there with using Metro and Tram 43. the room is non-smoking, clean, and cheap. if you do not expect more than price, this is the best hotel. *if you go there after 9PM you have to make sure that you can enter with key which is out side in the box(they will tell you the...

Located in a quiet residential area in the city center. It is convenient when you use car. The surrounding scenery is excellent and there is a palace Schönbrunn Palace. It is a good place to stay in Vienna city center. It is a multi-layered structure room.

I stayed there for 1 night. The staff was immensely helpful and friendly. They helped me with all the aspects of the hotel. The location is perfect, right in the city centre, 10 minutes walking from the major attractions of Vienna City. Would recommend it. Shared toilets and bathrooms were also clean. There is a basin in the solo rooms. Only one annoying part was th...

The hotel is conveniently located near the Vienna airport, so when flying too early or arriving too late, itis the perfect choice where to stay (with the possibility to use the shuttle service or taxi, or a hotel car park, if you come with your car). We appreciated , that despite the fact, that the hotel was fully booked, the room was quiet, well protected from the no...

I liked this hotel a lot and will try to stay there next time I'm in Vienna. The location is very good: outside of the city centre (in Josefstadt) but very conveniently located next to the U6 line, which would regularly transport me to Staubentor in under 20 minutes. The Parliament and Museums are within half an hour of walking, if you choose to go on foot, but there'...

The location was excellent, very close to the subway and close to many restaurants, shops, and cafes. Easy to find from the subway. Staff wasn’t the friendliest, but I think that’s just the social norm in Vienna. They had a pet bird named Ossi in the lobby, he was adorable!

The hotel is in a very quiet part of Vienna. Beautiful old style building with cosy rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. In a walking distance to the center. Good value for money. Хотелът се намира в много тиха и приятна част на Виена. Красива стара сграда с уютни стаи. Добра закуска. Услужлив персонал. Центърът е на 10-на минути пеша. Много добро съотношение цена/к...

This is a passable cheapish tourist hotel, transport to and from the Vienna City Center and Vien Miedling (the international train station pretty good). Hotel staff helpful, plenty of decent restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast was better than average for that standard of European hotel. Excellent coffee machine. Breakfast lady was very helpful and when asked wash...

First day returned to find my unpacked luggage – incl. passport - in the foyer, and someone else’s things in my room. Owner said, double booking, I’d be moved. I said I must leave soon for a commitment – owner hung up on me. No effort to contact me about this, and they moved me to a room with no terrace or fridge (had just bought food) and street facing. I specifi...

We traveled to Vienna as tourists. We were looking for a decent hotel that is not too expensive. This hotel was our choice. We were satisfied with this hotel. It is located a few kilometers from the city centre, but this was ok for us, because we bought Vienna Card for unlimited 72 hour public transportation. We left our car at the hotel's free of charge parking an...

The hotel is across the street from a station that runs regular trams to the central ring road (heading towards Oper, number 1 and 62 I think). This made it really easy to get to central Vienna, Schonbrunn Palace and Hauptbahnhof. Really nice staff and they were very accommodating when we asked to move rooms because wifi was poor in our first room.

I arrived very early to Vienna and was greeted by the Manager, I asked if I could check in early 0800am, and not only did he accommodate me he offered me a better room at no extra charge. I was couldn't have been happier. I highly recommend this for budget travelers who want a great deal. A two minute walk to the Underground station at Rheumann Platz.. excellent!!

Eurostars Embassy is approximately 10 minutes away from Kardinal-Nagl Platz U-Bahn station on foot. From Kardinal-Nagl Platz, it takes just a couple of minutes by metro, to most of the major attractions around Vienna. The hotel is also extremely accommodating, and provides free wifi service (not specified on Agoda). The staff members were attentive, efficient and frie...

It's a nice and quirky hotel in Vienna. Around 20 mins walk to the middle of Vienna city. We booked a standard double room. Room was actually not really big. Pretty much of a business hotel size. The staff from the breakfast buffet and tea time were all helpful and nice. Overall it was good stay except the room size. I loved the breakfast and lounge area we could spend...

Every aspect of my stay at the Strudlhof Hotel was positive. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and clearly accustomed to dealing with tourists. The quiet location of the hotel makes for a very relaxing stay. Proximity to the town centre and public transport is a definite plus. The breakfast is first class and it is convenient to have it served from 6:30 A...

NH Wien City is just steps from a U bahn station. Behind it is Mariahilferstrasse the very long shopping street leads to Hofburg area. The room we booked was spacious and nice, and the staffs were friendly and accommodating (including lending as a small heater). It was a great stay, we definitely recommend this hotel for Vienna explorers.

Located a bit far from Vienna's historic town square and main tourist attractions, restaurant and bars. However, Vienna U-Bahn station is directly across the road from the hotel provides fairly quick access to places of interest. Room was clean, comfortable, and with all the necessary basic amenities (hot shower, hair dryer, iron, fast wifi). More a business hotel but...

Nice location: a bit outside of the center of the city but still very easy to reach the main locations via tram. It was nice that it was in a quiet part of Vienna a bit away from the touristy parts. It was after midnight when my husband & I arrived Vienna. We took the shuttle bus from the airport to Westbahnhof. We were disappointed to be told that the room we have paid for was given away because they over booked but Richard took us to another 4 star hotel in the next street and made sure we were taken cared for. We were also offered free breakfast for 3 in the...

For the price of this hotel, you get an extremely convenient location just an escalator up from one of the exits of Westbanhof subway station and at the start of the shopping street Mariahilfer Strase which leads to the old Vienna inner city. It is also a less-than-5-minutes walk to the airport bus pickup/drop off point. Plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. Sta...

This place is wonderful. Felt like five star. Easy public transport links into Vienna city . buy Vienna card at hotel desk for unlimited travel. Can see Schonbrunn palace from breakfast terrace. Only downside was there were several coroprate days and functions during our stay so made it hard to assume restaurant was available. If out on the town and need taxi home...

We had an amazing time in Vienna. Our hotel Austria Trend Hotel Europa was so central and easy to get around the city. Beautiful cafes and restaurants all just a step away. We were given a warm welcome from Katarina on reception and also we were given a free upgrade to an executive room, which was lovely and the view out onto the street below was superb. We could see...

A really lovely spacious apartment . Great friendly staff who were always on hand to help. Spar shop just around the corner and location is ideal with a small walk to all attractions. Next door to the ice rink and theatres. We did need to ask for a kettle to be brought up but staff did it without any questions. My only downfall was we couldn’t find it when we arrived a...

Well, to be honest I was afraid to face troubles and because its little far from city center, but from the very first minute everything went great, the service, room (executive), breakfast and the location, next to schoenbrunn zoo, and really close to the metro station, every few minutes there are trains to the center, which means from the room to the city center in...

It was a clean and spacious apartment within walking distance to supermarkets and eateries. For me it was convenient, as I had some work near the hospital which is a 15 minute walk from the apartment. Great hotel with wonderful, friendly and attentive staff. It was lovely to be greeted cheerily when we got back each day from our sightseeing and sent off in the morning with smiles and helpful tips about the public transport, places to visit, how to maximise your visit. The Grand Wien Hotel made our stay in Vienna truly amazing. The rooms were beautifully furnished in classic Viennese baroque style, with a crystal chandelier, palatial wallpaper and a very comfortable bed. Great location, hotel clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar was a lovely place to sit after a long day exploring the wonderful places Vienna had to offer. It was my birthday whilst I was there and the hotel was a very good choice, would highly recommend.

Dated. Not 5* Service. Housekeeping comes when they seem to want to and don’t carry out a thorough clean. Blocked plugs. Noisy room from traffic and neighbours. The only 5* Luxury hotel where they didn’t have a push chair for a child. There are many more superior 5* luxury hotels in Vienna for less money.

Vienna is a grand old city full of history and wonderful architecture. I would recommend to listen to a concert, many locations are available.
Vienna is such a beautiful city with loads of historical past. Beautiful cultures and people. It is a disadvantage that most of the people cannot understand nor speak English, only their native language.
The sights to see in the centre are very compact compared to other cities. For an active walker they are all readily accessible.
Vienna is a very large city with hoardes of tourists even in early spring. Make sure to get to attraction early.

Vienna is really lovely with the historical background. me and my bf who is from Austria went to the time travel museum to learn about the history of Austria.
Do spend 2 hours to get on the HOP-ON-HOP-OFF bus. 2 lines to take, red and blue. These buses will bring you to places which you need to visit in Vienna.
A very beutiful and well organised City. The transport system is one of the best I found in Europe. It is good for the art lovers and those who love historical buildings.
Vienna has a lot of historical places to visit especially the Old City and the main cathedral at Stephanplatz.
Be sure to get Vienna Pass as it is a very good travel option to get around Vienna. If you are pressed for time, make sure you at least visit Schönbrunn Palace, SiSi Museum.
An amazing city full of life. Well organized and disciplined. I would love to visit Vienna again and again.
Vienna has a great old vibe and great cafe culture. It is worth visiting for this alone and very conveniently located to other atractions - castles, capitals (Bratislava or Budapest anyone?, culture - opera is famous
Peoples in Vienna are very friendly and when you stop besides the road and check with your map, they will come and ask what can they help you.
There is so much to see culture is everywhere. Beautiful gardens and architecture. Must go to palaces all of them in such good condition.
Vienna is nice city and has historical buildings. Opera is very nice. Restaurants are very nice and have good foods.
Vienna gave me the impression of a city immersed in the culture of classical music. Not much impressive landmarks in the city, but the general cleanliness & nice city layout gave a good feeling to the area.
Vienna is a lovely city to visit as the transport system is very efficient and it is very safe. All the major sights and shopping areas are within walking distance if you stay in the city centre.
Such a romantic city with beautiful structures and sights. It is very easy get round the city due to its superb Transportation System.
lovely city, very friendly and safe. Recommended for historical expeditions. food is fantastic if you like pork.
Lots of great sightseeing. Expensive to go into many buildings, museums etc. You can enjoy much of Vienna for free on foot or using the city bikes which are virtually free to use.
Great city. Beautiful buildings. Great history. The Palace is amazing and a great place to walk around, the gardens are stunning.
A lot of tourist during summer time. City bike is a bonus point for this famous tourist area.Impressed on the building architecture.
Lovely beautiful city just inhabitants need to loosen up. German cleanliness and standards. German nature of people.
Vienna used to be the capital of Europe, sort of. Enjoying classical music at various concert halls are must activities.
friendly people with a life. beautiful and artistic city yet less musical than i imagined. worth for a second visit.
Vienna is a beautiful city, with a lot of things to visit, it has a rich cultural history and buildings, and is a must if you love history :)
