I loved staying at doobaki - the rooms were fantastic, there were bathtubs, the staff is super nice and sociable and the basement common area had a bunch of things to do like an arcade machine and guitar. There is also a bar attached to the hostel which the staff open in the evening . The only issue I had at doobaki is that outside the rooms there are only toilets in the basement common area which are not as clean (lots of small flies).

Within 10-15min walk to some of Gyeongju's main attractions, and just few steps away from bus stops. The female dorm was clean and comfortable. The room was on the 3rd? 4th? floor, and it was quite difficult with luggages, but not a big deal. Clean and spacious bathroom. I appreciate the simple breakfast. The owner was a cool guy who has travelled the world and decorated the guesthouse with pictures and stuff from his travels. There is a large common area for the guests to hangout. t's a good place if you like meeting and talking to other travellers. Overall a good and affordable place to stay in Gyeongju!

Stay here back in Jan 2022. Came back again. The staff here are always nice and friendly! You won't feel awkward here at all. I thought 3 days will be enough. I had to extend another day because I am too comfortable here. And don't forget they provided breakfast provided in the morning!
Unexpectedly super fun”
I expected a chill time in Gyeongju to explore the beautiful architecture and history of the city. While I did get to do that, I didn't expect that I would also end up partying in the hostel bar next door until all hours of the morning with all the new friends I'd made and the staff. There was also a common space on the ground floor of the hostel and another one in the basement with videogames and a guitar, so there were plenty of spaces to hang out, which helped make this place so social and fun. Rooms were upstairs, well away from the potential noise of the bar, so it was easy to get a good night's sleep (if you can bring yourself to ditch your new friends and go to bed).
