This was my second time staying at Lotte Hotel Jeju. Last year, everything was perfect: friendly staff, clean facilities, and a beautifully renovated room. Unfortunately, this year was a total disappointment—starting with the fact that I mentioned at check-in that the stay was for my sister’s birthday and kindly asked for a renovated room. There’s no price difference between the new and old rooms, so unless you specifically ask (and even then), you’ll most likely end up in an older one—with outdated furniture (some broken or stained) and issues like a malfunctioning bathroom door lock. The receptionist smiled and confirmed we’d be placed in a renovated room—but we were still given an old one. When I returned to the front desk to clarify, I was met with a series of questions—when I had stayed before, the name of my last booking, what was the room number last year (how can I remember?) etc. After answering everything, they claimed in 1 min no renovated rooms were available—which I know wasn’t true, as I later saw other guests switching rooms. And why to ask and reply immediately if they no there are no rooms? Interestingly, last year we had a similar situation, but after my friend (who has a very polished, brand-conscious appearance) went downstairs and asked, we were moved without issue. It’s hard not to wonder if appearances might influence how some requests are handled. The worst part happened the next day—my sister’s birthday. After housekeeping, we discovered her gold earrings were missing. We knew exactly where they had been and searched the whole room. The day was ruined. I called room service 3–4 times to report it. At first, they simply said they didn’t know how to help. Only after I went downstairs and insisted they check with the cleaning staff (they hadn’t even asked for a photo—I had to offer one) did someone come to our room 40 minutes later and say the earrings had been accidentally thrown in the garbage during cleaning. I was speechless. When I said this was unacceptable for a hotel of this level, they offered… cookies and strawberries. Another heads-up: be prepared to pay a deposit of 100,000 KRW per day of your stay, which adds up quickly and isn't clearly communicated in advance. One more thing: if you’re planning to walk to the seaside, be prepared for a bit of a hike. The stairs down are old and poorly maintained. We were staying here as a group of three in a standart garden view room of 40 sqm. It was totally fine, room was with a terrace and windows goes at the central pool. the whole experience was good, its has a path to the ocean by the cliff, with a pure water and a volcanic sand which is very comfortable. The territory is well organized, theres warm pool, sauna, gym - all you need. There's many cafes in 1-2 km, you can take a nice walk and pick any, including Starbucks. Our favourite spot to have breakfast / brunch was "Make. Bake. Roast", its at the side of hotel. It was very difficult to order food inside the room. It says it's 24 hour which is unfourtunatelly not quite true, because you cannot order almost anything except of club sandwich and coffee. By the way, Lotte, three cups of coffee for 72 thousand Korean Won... Really? And the near cafes are closed since around 7-8 PM. Lounge also works 24 hours but only providing snacks... We are vegeterians, so it was very difficul to just have a dinner. In the evening its better to take walk through the main street and find smth. Overall, staying was good

Lotte Hotel where I took my parents I am someone who goes to Jeju Island once or twice a month. I have almost tried all the accommodations in Jeju. I always use Lotte Rent-a-Car and highly appreciate their good service. I had just stayed at the Shilla Hotel before this, but the service satisfaction here is the best compared to Shilla. Kindness is the top priority. Greetings from the entrance, from the front desk, and even the staff coming to guide us with the information in the room were very kind and I truly appreciated the greetings. Even though they were doing exterior painting work, all the construction workers were exceptionally polite and gracious. They treated us with such kindness, and I was genuinely moved by how the Lotte staff greeted us while we were on a walk. My parents taught me that the basics start with greetings, and it was heartwarming to see them bowing and greeting the construction staff. Although the Lotte facilities may look old, you can really feel that they are well maintained. Thanks to the room upgrade, I quietly welcomed the morning while the exterior was being painted and had a good sleep. Even though the accommodation was old, it was well managed with a dignified presence, and cleanliness was excellent and the room condition was good. Due to my schedule, I only stayed for one night and went back to Seoul, but I left feeling very regretful. Lotte treated us kindly, and the unkindness I encountered when meeting the natives trying to sell their items in Seongeup Folk Village was completely forgotten during the day. I will visit again in April. 🤎
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was great, with easy access to transportation and walkable to nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bathrooms were well-maintained with hot water readily available. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to others!

Our stay at Lotte Hotel Jeju was truly exceptional, primarily due to the warm and attentive hospitality of the staff. Every team member we interacted with was welcoming, courteous, and proactive in catering to our needs. From check-in to dining, their professionalism and genuine care made our experience smooth and enjoyable. The service felt personalized, ensuring every guest was valued and comfortable throughout their stay. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a diverse selection of fresh and flavorful dishes. However, we did notice one shortcoming—the limited vegetarian options. There were 2-3 dishes available that excluded egg, meat, and shellfish, and unfortunately, the staff was not accommodating in providing specific alternatives for vegetarian or vegan individuals. Given the otherwise high standards of hospitality, a more inclusive approach to dietary preferences would certainly enhance the experience for all guests. Additionally, the shuttle service to the airport was highly efficient, ensuring a convenient and hassle-free transfer. Overall, Lotte Hotel Jeju delivers outstanding hospitality and service, but improvement in vegetarian meal offerings would make it truly exceptional.
