Macau City hotels & places to stay

Has always been Our first choice of hotel in macau city coz we have smaller kids with us. We prefer tgis one coz it has distance from the crowd but not too far too. Local market nearby, 7-11 across the road (which is very convenient breakfast choice for my american nephew fiuh....). Walking distance to some good restaurant and a bus stop across the hotel. Has always been our fave :)

this is the best hotel i've ever stayed and i'll definitely return. the hotel staff were really courteous and keep a smile always on their faces. despite i saw one staff facing difficult customers, he was able to control the situation and the customers left with a smile. they were also good in providing bus and walking directions. the room was also nicely decorated. and the things they provide, from cups to bathroom amenities to even the shoe mittens, everything was nicely packed and looked so high-class. they also provide free drinks in the refrigerator as long as one leaves the empty containers at the bar counter. the steam bath was also good to play with and enjoyable. there's also a 24-hr cafe on the 2nd floor (same floor as hotel lobby) which serves delicious food around the clock and the waitress made good recommendations. hotel was also quite centralised in macau city, near the historical site (abt 15-20 mins walk) and near other casinos such as wynn, starworld, mgm etc. no regrets about this hotel and i suggest u guys give it a try too! =)

I booked a 1 night stay at Harbourview Hotel, Macau on March 22-23, 2019 to celebrate my birthday. Indeed, we had the best stay in Macau and the most unforgettable birthday salubong. The hotel is very nice and clean. Not to mention that the location is also very strategically located around the tourists distinations so very easy to go around the city. The staff are very accommodating to us. We were given the best service from toiletress to water to coffee. Especial thanks to the following staff: John Arnaiz, Jeffrey, Jed, Walter and Ms. Hannah from housekeeping for the warm hospitality. Iba talaga ang alagang pinoy! Until our next stay, Harbourview!

rio hotel is the best hotel to stay if you plan to visit the famous st paul ruins, senado square and fisherman's wharf. these sites are walking distance. rio hotel also provides a free travelmate -it's a phone that u can bring with you anywhere in macau city for free hotspot/wifi. restaurants are also just nearby. this hotel has excellent staff. very friendly and helpful like mark at the concierge.

The business Executive rooms on the upper floor are well worth the little extra. They are newly refurbished with excellent decor and so comfortable. These rooms go with a free lounge on 20th floor with continental breakfast, drinks from 5.50pm and good internet and fast checkout. Meals at the Emperor or any other hotel in Macau cannot compare with the excellent food available in the specialist restaurants in Macau and there are some excellent ones close to the Emperor. We enjoyed out stay and have booked again for next year's trip. There is no pool in the city hotel and that's the only negative but in winter who need a pool. The big positive is the price and comfort you get for the money you pay. This hotel offers excellent value.

Our trip to Macau was a gamble of sorts. We were a group ofunlikely tourists - 4 elderly family members and an active four-year-old childinclusive. We booked the hotel online via Agoda based solely on gut instincts.We found a hotel in Macau island within our budget and clicked the button –the ‘MandarinOriental’ name did help to decide us. The night before arrival, I went onlineand saw that the hotel was undergoing renovations; I spent a sleepless night worryingabout our hotel choice. We were checked in by a hotel staff who spoke interesting Cantonesewith a Macanese dialect. Our requests were attended to though the staff did notcome across as naturally friendly. But we had the opportunity to meet otherstaff who were more helpful and friendly during our stay. One particularreception staff did not only speak fluent English but gave us veryhelpful recommendations for eating places. He went to the extent of searchingonline and sketching simple maps for us. Having been warned by friends that hotels in Macau and HongKong were not really something to look forward to, we were pleasantly surprisedby the ambience of the hotel (no sign of renovation), cleanliness of the rooms,the facilities, as well as the understated elegance of the place. We had agreat stay and the bet did pay off – for a reasonable price, we got quite agood deal.

It's our 2nd time to stay in Sintra Hotel, and it is the most practical hotel in Macau in terms of cost and proximity to the high end, mid and low end Macau. City of Dreams bus stops right in front of it - meaning free and fast ride(no stop at ferry)to City of Dreams and Venetian. Best of all, Sintra has a number of Filipino security personnel who can assist in anything you need as a tourist.

We booked the room at the same day , because we got kicked out by the racist Airbnb host claiming that they afraid of foreigners. Luckily this one of the very last rooms in macau hat night. And this hotel even gave us a suite with a nice balcony(though have wall all around the room blocking some of the views), comfort living space and bedroom, and a nice and clean washroom. The hotel and room is stylish and very close to the old town area in Macau side. They also provide a cellphone so that we can use the internet data to look around the city and easily get back. Will definately recommend this hotel to someone who loves to stay in hip and stylish place and wanna stay away from the crowed gigantic hotel.

I've stayed in several hotels in Macau from 2008-2018 over several years (as the prices have inflated rapidly), and even compared to the bigger, more famous hotels, Beverly Plaza offers great value. It is now my go-to hotel whenever I go to Macau. The rooms are clean and have that Mediterranean maritime charm fitting to Macau's colonial history. The staff are welcoming, accommodating, and helpful, the location is right near some of the top local attractions, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Luckily I could speak Mandarin - it really paid off during my stay in Macao. Also, good thing that they hired English, Mandarin speaking staffs at the reception counter but like us, they are also new to Macau City.. therefore, couldn't help us much. The old man was the most friendly and helpful while the mid-age ladies chatting at the reception area are the biggest turn-offs! Everything on the surface is perfect in the room but under the beds - they're not. No problem with hot water, hot shower, aircon - except the remote. Only bath towels and tissues, rubber slippers, automatic kettle are provided. Mostly Chinese programs are on TV. So far, our things are secured inside the room. This hotel is OK for adventurers like us - who prefer sightseeing, shopping & food tasting instead of going to casinos. TIP: Take advantage of free shuttle rides provided by big casino hotels to and from Ferry Terminal. Beware of TAXI DRIVERS who will take you for a long ride. Buses are also very convenient - except you have to pay minimum of MOP3.2 - it will take some time for travelers like us to get use to the transport system. Most Macau people - older ones especially are grouchy. Better seek help from Filipinos in the area.

The legend palace is a great hotel which located in the fisher's warf Macau. It's just floating on the sea, so my mom's kinda frightened when she went to balcony.(so she never go outside again thou) It was my mom's birthday so the hotel upgraded the deluxe room to the executive deluxe with harbour view. Even the hotel staff came to our room and sang a birthday song for my mom. It was so thankful so I still remember her name, Rose. Thank you so much again :) Room condition's just so good except one thing. The shower booth. After taking a shower, the water overflowed everytime. It was quite uncomfortable because I had to clean the wet floor. I stayed just 1 night in this hotel then it was enough to take a rest. But the concierge was not so useful because she told me the wrong information about ferry to the airport. Fortunately I found other way thanks to the staff at the ferry terminal, but my mom was a little upset about it. If I go Macau again, I think I would try to find other hotels which located in city rather than here. Because most travellers stay in Macau not so long, it would be better to stay in the center of city.

It's really a good stay in this hotel! Among all the hotels that I check in this area, this was the cheapest and the most well furbished hotel I could find. I was worried that I couldn't find the hotel initially, but it turns out to be easy as well. Complimentary drinks were topped up daily, together with tea sachets. Free Wi-Fi has got stable & fast connections. Furnitures seems pretty new, bed is comfy, the television was fix too high though. Also, it was very near to Ponte16 (one of the casino-hotel in Macau), you could actually use their shuttle bus services to get to Ole Tai Sam Un Hotel. They have got shuttle services to & from the Border Gates to ZhuHai & the Ferry Terminal. Save a hell lot of money on transport. I'm definitely going back there again, if I couldn't find a better hotel with such cheap rates (as compared to hotels in Macau)

Meanwhile me and my girlfriend were staying in Macau, the last day of our journey, the typhoon Hato struck Macau. The wind and rain was so severe that we could not go outside. Added that our plane schedule was 2:00 am of next day so we planned to checkout and stay in the lobby until the typhoon was stopped. When we tried to checkout our room, a hotel manager said there are no transportation in service so we could stay few more hours. 1or 2 hours later the wind and rain was getting worse, electricity was gone and first floor was flooded. Staffs checked each room(our room was 13th floor!!) and apologized for inconvenience. Also they said we could stay until one more day with no extra charge. We could not eat our lunch of course whole city was flooded however, they gave us some breads and bottles of water. Thanks to the staff members, we could stay safely in our room until typhoon was gone and after that we could escape the Macau. Even though there were some inconveniences because of typhoon, thanks to professional staff members, we could stayed comfort and I definitely recommend to stay in this place.

We quite enjoyed our stay at the Rocks Hotel. It was something different from the rest of the hotels in Macau. Although the Babylon Casino is just right next to the hotel, it was connected and that was quite a relief. It felt nice and quiet, away from the usual buzz you'll find at hotels in Macau. The hotel was decorated beautifully, the simplistic Euro-style deco was nice and the room was clean. Great value for money and even included 2 sets of breakfast. Will definitely choose the Rocks Hotel again for myself and for guests.

I had stay many hotels in Macau and this is the best so far. Emailed them to inform I'm celebrating my wedding anniversary and they upgraded our room to noble suite and provide a free red wine too. Room is huge, clean and luxurious. There are 3 TV (living room, bed room and bathroom), washing machine, microwave, refrigerator etc. Bathroom is huge and shower items are good (L'OCCITANE). Really feel like a living in a super luxurious home in overseas with 5 stars hotel services. Location is also good ( Stone throw to MGM and few mins walk to Wynn and Starworld). Highly recommended to all type of travellers!

Hotel located in Macau city, very conveniance for shopping & dining. For people who like gambling, alot of casino near by and hotel itself also provide gambling. Some local attractive place just in within walking distance. Hotel outlook abit old compare with other hotel inside same area. Room consider clean and comfortable, and hotel do provide free chocolate and drink inside mini bar for deluxe suite customer. Hotel need to improve in F&B, i.e breakfast, they should provide in buffet style and not like set breakfast. And also must control some smoker and not allow them to smoking inside the elevator. Overall Hotel Presidental located in a very good location and can save alot on taxi/cab charges (just 15 min from Macau International Airport)

Have stayed at Crowne Plaza Macau for only 1 night. As advertised, the room is large and bright, and also offers a good sea view. Usb charging ports are available so that you don't have to bring your own travel adapter. If you are coming from the city, you can take buses to Perola Oriental Terminal and walk to the hotel. The reception helped us to call a cab, and we paid an affordable MOP30 for a 10mins ride to the Macau Ferry Terminal. They provide free shuttle service from 9am too. Don't forget to add breakfast to your hotel booking, you won't be disappointed with the good selection of food! I would like to also take this chance to thank the team for preparing the complimentary surprise for us! We appreciate your thoughtfulness, and for making our special occasion memorable~ I am glad to have chosen your hotel. Highly recommended!

Holiday Inn Macau was referred to me by my friends who has a lot of nice words for Holiday Inn. I was so satisfied with my 3 days 2 nights accomodations. The free shuttle was a plus points and I didn't have a hard time looking for the shuttle bacause of the color of the bus although the shuttle was quite small compared to the hotel giants. It was situated near an ATM Machine for quick and emergency withdrawal, a 7-11 convenience store for midnight snack. Staff at the Lobby was very, very helpful and accomodating. In fact, I followed what the reception told me. The food addict in me asked for the BEST egg tart and Portuegese Restraurant and indeed, I was so satisfied and I am cravinf for it now again. The location to the main strip of the hotel giants was not so far. You won't get lost as long as you follow the map. I would surely recommend this hotel to anyone who's on the look out for Budget friendly and a very helpful staff combined and to backpackers who would travel to Macau for the first time.

We stayed in the hotel just to sleep. Bed and bath room are clean. Good AC. We were provided a free mobile wifi device. It's a good walking distance going to Ruins of St Paul Cathedral. We also just walked going to Wynn Macau for some of the shows, then rode the free shuttle going to Venetian and back to Fisherman's Wharf. We took a cab going back to the hotel. Overall, I like the location and it's one of the most affordable hotels in Macau.

There are a lot of nice hotels in Macau but the MCM has also sea view, well at least the room we had, we had requested seaview and had an upgraded room. The room was super modern with huge windows to look out. The restaurants were also very nice but the casino was the best, we stopped at several different hotels to see the difference and MCM was by far our favorite. It also has a very nice pool which we unfortunately did not get to use since we were only staying one night. I would definately stay at MCM again, it is worth the money.

I booked in advance as dates/availabilty can be an issue, this is a first choice hotel in macau but I understand chinese clients perfer the encore macau over the wynn mac. the decor is similar to the wynn in las vegas(carpet,walls) I stayed in a one bedroom suite & it was unforgetably fabulous the suite had a huge bathroom& big jacuzzi tub big black granite shower a description of pure luxury, check in is private at the newly renovated wynn club, shops were all high end, service, concierge service excellent perfect english resourceful, confirming international flights. my visit to macau was alot of fun the wynn & venetian were similar to the las vegas wynn & venetian but theres only one las vegas, macau is a whole different experience completely well with kids you werent allowed to walk thur the casino gambling area, so seeing the hotel as entirely wasnt possible which felt like a smaller place & to get to the cantonese resturant you needed to walk outside around the building, macau makes more revenue from gambling than las vegas but theres more shows & shops & things to do in las vegas the show to see in macau was the "water dance" at the city of lights hotel on the other side of the island

easonable price, comfortable, and nice. It is suitable and best choices for bagpacker. My personal share view about Macau is: Macau is a Chinese and Spanish culture city, especially old local building, historical building, Old Roman Catholic church, old Chinese temple, entry ticket is very cheap (MOP 10) to see Panda in Macau City unlike in China the entry ticket is RMB100 and above, plus most of the tourism places in Macau city does not need entry ticket including museum. Food in Macau is nice and only McDonald available in Macau city, and no KFC in Macau. Regarding gambling places, most of these places are free entry, beautiful and elegant designed, especially The Venetian is the best and worth to visit in evening 5PM. Chinese people in Macau is very nice, helpful, and civilize, but if you are able to speak cantonese to them, they are even willingly and helpful to you. Merely bus in Macau not really covenience sometimes although is cheap, easily get confuse, and taxi in Macau is espensive. Macau City is a nice place to visit although its small.

the room size is ok for triple room, you have more space to put your league.. and clean also. In front of Sofitel Hotel, so you can use Sofitel Hotel free shuttle for ferry terminal (Macau City Terminal not Macau Taipa). They served 24-hours hot chocolate, milk tea, cappucino, mineral water etc. Near Senado Square & St. Paul Church, just 10 min walks from 5footway inn.

My family of six got 2 deluxe suite rooms and stayed here purposely for a 5-day birthday celebration of my 15 yr-old daughter. We opted for a higher floor with the great views of the ocean, the Fisherman's Wharf Village and the Taipa Bridge. The location was perfect for us who want a serene and more private hotel away from the glares and noisy sides of the city. The rooms were spacious w/ wide living room, flat screen tv's and had the homely feeling that we loved and felt so comfortably relaxed and well rested after more than a 2 hours of long trip.The cleanliness of the accommodation was awesome esp. the nice and fab bathroom and toilet with all the complete amenities. The buffet lunch was good at the 888 Resto at the 2nd floor. The Steak House at the 3rd Floor lived up to its Award, the steak melts in the mouth, It was absolutely fantastic! The Resident Manager, Ms Connie Cheung were extremely helpful and warm in granting my extra special request, a surprise birthday cake for my daughter. She did exceptionally well in providing us with an awesome personal service and for us to truly enjoy our first time stay in Macau. We were highly delighted and blessed with the personal touch and warm smiles of the kind and sensitive staff, gained new friends and will forever instill a memorable stay for our kids to cherish. We will definitely choose this hotel again in our future vacation trips to Macau.
