The only concern I have is: During my reservation, I explicitly mentioned that I require 2 single beds. Upon checking in, we see a queen size bed. We asked the guest relations gentleman that this is not what we requested for and we need this changed. He asked us to wait for a few minutes and will make the change. We then went to sit by the pool and about 45 mins later, we see that he is walking with other guests showing them the property while we are still waiting for our room after a whole day’s travel (5pm and counting). We went to the reception to find out what’s going on, and we are told again to wait. The guest relations manager comes back and brings a copy of the reservation saying that they don’t have it in their system for twin beds. I showed him my conformation and he said it’s not his problem or my problem but Agoda’s problem. This was not acceptable to me- as a client. I need to be furnished with my requests and if they can’t be met, they need to be communicated in advance in a professional way. Anyhow, we got the same room back – with twin beds. This whole change process didn’t need to take over 2 hours. Once the beds were sorted, we managed to relax, enjoy the view and take some bikes out to the city. The bikes are not in good condition but they do the job. We initially came with the intention to stay for 2 nights- but, once we had the unprofessional experience with the guest relations manager, we took the next flight out therefore not really enjoying the property as much as we wanted. The gentleman didn’t make our experience memorable and neither any compensation/apology was offered for his unprofessional behavior. I would recommend the property for its views and location – but I would warn you for the people skills the guest relations manager has should you wish to ask him any questions beyond his mandate of showing you the hotel property.

The hotel is a long walk from the train station but its straight walk down the main street. Theres many simple and fast restaurants nearby but theyre not cheap. You can walk up the hill into the old medina and find cheap and authentic food. Its possible to walk and see all the sights on foot. The hotel is quiet and clean if you need a break from the riads. Theres a huge pool but too cold to use but it looks like a nice place.

I just returned back from my trip to Merzouga, where I stayed at Sirocco Luxury Camp. The communication with Youssef was impeccable. He answered all my questions promptly and stayed in communication with me. We had no issues meeting at the meet up spot. They were there to welcome us and take us to camp. We took an amazing camel ride in and caught the sunset, before arriving at camp. Our Berber guide took the most amazing photos for us! The staff were accommodating and pleasant. Once we arrived at camp, we were so amazed on the amenities of our tent! The bed was so comfy, with nice toilet and hot running water for showers. The food prepared for us was delicious and the night ended around the camp fire, with traditional Berber music and gazing up at the stars. It was truly an experience we will never forget!

Chez Youssef is my highlight in my 13-day morocco trip. Host Youssef is a super nice man and he picked us at night when the bus arrived, served us hot delicious soup which made us feel very welcoming! The room we had got everything we need. The house has lovely decorations and make you feel absolutely like home. Breakfast is very nice and tasty. The desert trip Youssef arranged for us is super super good and the tour guides are so helpful friendly and responsible. I miss everything in Merzouga. Everything happened in Chez Youssef. Thank you for letting us being a bit naughty hahaha. 130%recommend to all people who want to have an amazing experience in desert

This hotel/guest house is the perfect choice for Midelt. It is well run by an owner that obviously has a passion for serving her guests and I really can't say anything bad about it, from the fantastic dinner we enjoyed to the comfy beds and great view, this place is perfect. Would also recommend spending slightly more to stay in a suite, was great to have that little bit of extra room.

we arrived at this hotel and were upgraded to a bigger room thanks to the extremely pleasant duty manager. although the rooms are generally a bit dated but it was clean and very comfortable. breakfast was ok. dinner was at a cafe outside which was cheap and good. the hotel seems very empty though. they were also very nice to let us leave our bags with them while we went to stay a night in the desert.

We really enjoyed our stay at the golden camp. We met our host at the merzouga cafe, it was very easy to find. From there we paid 25 Euros each to take a camel to our camp, this was a 2-hour ride and so much fun. The room was gorgeous, spacious and the water was very hot in the shower. The rooms have no air conditioning. Dinner was amazing and they catered to my vegetarian needs. The staff was playful and we really enjoyed the music after dinner. My only regret was that we had to leave very early in the morning and missed the sunrise, due to having a flight booked. But because we were missing breakfast, they packed us a takeaway bag with fruit and yogurt and cookies, they really exceeded our expectations. highly recommended.

My sister and I chose Nomad Bivouac because of the really good reviews and we were not disappointed. Hassan was the most amazing host ever and welcomed us as if we were family. We arrived really early at 6am and he had someone drive to pick us up and bring us to his house where he has a little guest house area and allowed us to rest there after our long bus journey. When we woke up he arranged breakfast (a huge spread) and told us we could hang out in the guesthouse until 4pm when we were going to head into the desert. He has 5 camels so we took 2, and headed into the desert on a 1.5hr journey to the tents. We watched the sunset on the dunes and Hassan and his crew arranged a lovely homemade tagine in the desert for us. We slept in tents which were simple and comfortable and had thick blankets to keep us warm. The only thing to note is that the bathroom in the desert was very simple - a toilet and some water in a bucket. Don’t expect to shower there. Just brush your teeth and wait till the next day when you’re back at his house to shower!! Highly recommended and we are very thankful for Hassan’s hospitality!!

I had been backpacking though Morocco with a friend and this was comparatively the most luxurious place that I stayed (the first place in my multi-week trip with AC). The staff was great. I didn't get the man's name, but at the front desk, he was very friendly and spoke good English. My friend got food poisoning just as we were about to leave and Fatima was very nurturing.

Yes, they really have a door into the desert and it's next to the pool. Once it is open you look straight into Sand and half way to your right is one of the largest sand dunes of the Erg Chebi desert. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights and it was great. All staff really friendly and always up for a chat. They organised for us a 4x4 tour through desert and the flamingo lake (yes, many camels AND flamingos nearby) as well as a camel ride later on the same day. Sadly we had a bad sandstorm but it was still a great experience. The room was good (11) and all facilities incl. pool very well maintained and of course clean. We booked because we didn't want to stay in a tent in the desert and because of the good reviews and we made a great choice staying here. Food was also great, we decided to eat in the Road both days and enjoyed 2 different variations of their delicious tagine dish. Huge recommendation.
